"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple."

10 for Texas
What is that vein/muscle in my right leg?
I thought maybe it was my femoral artery but it seems like it's on the wrong side of my leg.
Kicking it home at the 10 for Texas. November 15, 2008
it's your muscle. When the picture is taken exactly when your food hits the ground, muscles (and sometime loose skin) show much more on the pictures. Sometimes it looks cool, sometimes it really doesn't! THis one is pretty good. I am starting to dread these race pictures... :) Steph
