Notes | It felt humid out there this morning and warmer than the earlier part of this week. I roughed out a plan on the fly that I'd let the first mile be whatever pace my body chose. From there, I wanted the match the average pace of yesterday's run (8:42/mile) over the next 2 miles. I targeted Mile 4 to be faster than 8:42 by however slow than 8:42 Mile 1 was. TARGETS Mile 1 whatever Mile 2 8:42 Mile 3 8:42 Mile 4 8:42 minus Mile 1 pace ACTUALS 9:03 8:41 8:38 8:10 (calculated target = 8:21) For the last kilometer going back home, I planned to just take whatever I felt like. It ended up being 1k @ 8:22/mi. I felt okay out there today. I'm looking forward to a rest day tomorrow then continuing building next week. |
