"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple." -------> Matt Fitzgerald <-------

On Sabbatical
I plan to post a couple things during my break ... maybe an assessment of my Austin marathon, some pictures from running on Antelope Island, and some philosophical thoughts about my running life.
... stay tuned ....

A little worried about yesterday's nutrition. Not convinced I ate enough.
The start is lined up based on expected finish and is supposed to be enforced. Since I didn't register until yesterday, I'm concerned that they don't have my expected finish time coded on my bib and that I might be pushed to the back. Hope not. Don't want to be fighting all the crowds and may never catch the pace group.
Sent from my Palm Treo.
