Decent run with the group today. Started with Augie, Michelle, Shellie, Nikki, Josh and Randy. Run through Tanglewood and River Oaks then back to the park via Memorial Drive. I finished with Augie, Josh and Randy. Although had pressed ahead at his marathon pace then came back to us several times throughout the run.
I felt okay today - a little sluggish, I guess, but that's to be expected given my slack training during my annual "busy season" at work. I did manage to break away for the Rockets-Hornets game last night. (Rockets lost pitifully in overtime.) My vantage point for the game was from here:
PRE RUN
weight=165.5

"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple." -------> Matt Fitzgerald <-------
