Nice run with the crew today. It was a cool morning which gave me some dread before leaving the house. Once at the park, I was eager to get going and ended up really enjoying the brisk fresh air.
Augie, Josh, Jonathan (Josh's friend from work), Randy and me. We saw William who joined us for a stretch along the way.
PRE RUN
corn flakes w/skim milk

"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple." -------> Matt Fitzgerald <-------

Felt really good this morning for no identifiable reason.
Maybe it was a good night's sleep last night. Maybe it's the relief of a major project at work getting closer to the end of phase one. Maybe it's the rest I've given my legs with only intermittent running lately. Maybe it's luck? Could it be something I ate or didn't eat. Who knows?
PRE RUN
1 cup corn flakes w/ 1 cup skim milk
POST RUN
multivitamin & 16 oz. skim milk w/Hershey's chocolate syrup
