"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple." -------> Matt Fitzgerald <-------

9 mi. Tempo @ 7:27
This one turned out pretty good. I need to break down the splits but I think they were tightly bunched. Satellite reception may have given me a little extra mileage over the final .8 mi.
A 3:15 marathon breaks down to a 7:27/mile pace. A subjective test is to run that pace and see how it feels. I felt fine over the first half and struggled a little over the back half.
This test is far less scientific than Monday's Yasso 800's but at the very least it sets a benchmark for the next few weeks.

Today's run revealed either 1) it was an "off" day or 2) I'm not in 3:15 marathon shape. Unfortunately I think it's the latter.

Garmin was set up wrong for this workout so the 4th rep is screwed up because that's where I stopped fix things.
