"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple."

Hey Kathleen. Somehow you got a defective pace band!
My band was actually 3:28 but my "best case scenario, perfect conditions" goal was 3:27. My mile splits fluctuated quite a bit ... especially over the first few miles when it was dark and I couldn't see my pace band.
Still looks like you had a good run. Sorry that I missed the stiff-legged party with the group in Vegas.

Gosh - your pace band must have been magical. It said 3:27 and you ran 3:27. Mine said 4:15 and I ran 4:28. I guess mine was broken.
Congrats again on a great race!
