"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple."

2011 St. George Marathon
Official time = 3:23:26
A 2013 Boston qualifier as a 45-year old. Not my best time. But given my inconsistent training which included no hills and no long run over 17 miles, I'm happy. I dealt with adversity during this one better than I ever have.
Congratulations Cory. Another marathon in your books and with a solid time. St George is the best, glad you were able to run it again. Hopefully we'll see you soon as a special guest at one of our Saturday run! Take care, Stephanie

Hooray, Cory! Great job staying tough (through the training and the race)!!
Thanks, Steph and Josh. I'm sure you don't realize it but I couldn't have done it without you!
