10 miles with the big boys (and several girls today too) at 7:50 overall with some middle miles at 7:30. Today's temperature was around 85-86F with high humidity. Set out on my own from the park to add on 6 miles. Firgured I'd intersect with the crew if I went toward the polo grounds as their route was coming back in that direction. I was right but crossed the freeway for a restroom break at the Shell station. When I came out, I saw them crossing the intersection on the other side of the freeway. Couldn't catch them. Continued my slog toward polo grounds. Their drinking fountain has the coldest water in Houston. Perfect for a long run break. Drug myself back to the park on a point-to-point stop-and-go. Was REALLY tired. Glad to with completed this one.
Even better was that the crew was still at the pool stretching and cooling down. We went for breakfast together.
