"Every runner's greatest opponent is the wall--the wall of fatigue, that is. The goal of training is to push the wall of fatigue by increasing the maximum pace one can sustain from the start line to the finish line of a race. The goal of race execution is to actually run as fast as possible without hitting the wall before reaching the finish line. It's that simple."

You're right, I finished a marathon. That puts me in a club of about 1% of the population.
I'm not sure about being your hero. Hopefully there aren't any pictures of me on the course when the wheels were coming off! With that visual evidence, I'm sure you'd change heros!

I don't know how you can be disappointed after just running a marathon. You did it, you did great!
sorry about that. If it makes you feel better you're still my hero

Cory, you've accomplished many goals since you began running...we're proud of you.

Congratulations on the finish, Cory! I'm sure you still have the "perfect race" ahead of you...
